Mr JazziQ (born Tumelo Manyoni in Alexandra) is a fast-rising South African Amapiano Disk Jockey and producer.

For the young artist, popularity followed his outstanding performance as a member JazziDisciples. Being associated with the amapiano DJ Duo alongside Josiah De Disciple has helped his music career.

He took the country by storm in 2020 after releasing his album 0303 on March 3 under the label MR JAZZIQ.

Like his co-member in JazziDisciples, he was born in Alexandra Township. He was born into his family and grew up in Alexandra under the care of his grandmother.

While he grew up, his parents resided in the north of Johannesburg. For his academic pursuit, Tumelo enrolled at Highlands North Boys’ High School.

As a disk jockey, he began when he was fourteen years old. Two years later, at the age of sixteen, he climbed a step higher in the career as a producer.

Tumelo produced different music genres before becoming a partner with Josiah. Meanwhile, Josiah was also into amapiano production before they collaborated.

In 2020, Mr JazziQ shock the music industry with his debut solo album – 0303. The album contained several hit tracks including Askies, Blue Skies, and Hello Mo’Girl.

Fan-favorite singer, Moonchild Sanelly was featured on the single Askies. Fake Love became a hit in no time and was certified gold by RiSA.

Music lovers were still enjoying the hit songs housed by his debut solo album when he dropped his first EP in August 2020.

Tumelo featured big names in the music scene in the EP titled The Babies. Kamo Mphela, Londie London, and Lady Du were among the big names the EP featured.

Maba Jabul’Abantu was his next project and was released in October 2020. For the success of the album, Tumelo collaborated with Busta 929.

In November 2020, Busiswa featured him on the single Makaza, a track on her album My Side of The Story.

In December 2020, Tumelo gave fans a taste of undiluted good music after he dropped the single Umsebenzi Wethu.

In the new year, January 2020, he gave music lovers good music to update their library. He dropped the single Amaneighbour feat. Killer Kau, Reece Madlisa, Zuma and ThackzinDJ.

The single made waves in the South African music scene climbing to #7 on Good Hope FM’s Top Ten House Chart.

Still, in 2021, more opportunities came knocking. Utilizing these opportunities, he dropped the single ‘Woza‘ feat. Lady Du, Boohle and Kabza De Small.

He appeared as a featured artist on the single by Felo Le Tee – Nje Nje.

The song also featured other popular artists including DJ Maphorisa, Reece Madlisa, Zuma, Mupra, and Kabza De Small. On 23 April 2021, Mr JazziQ dropped another album titled Party With The English


Mr JazziQ has been called to perform on several shows, events, and parties. On the Channel O music TV show, Lockdown House Party he was opportune to hold a performance.
